Dr Pranjali Gadgil
Founder-Director
Pranjali is Breast Surgeon, practicing in Pune, India. A graduate of B.J Medical College in Pune, Pranjali completed her surgical training in the US at the Mayo Clinic, UT Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas and Winthrop P Rockefeller Cancer Center, UAMS, Little Rock. She is American Board Certified Surgeon and has a Fellowship in Breast Diseases.
Pranjali is passionate about improving quality of care for breast diseases and breast cancer in India. She is Proprietor and Director of Pune Breast Care and a consultant at Jupiter Hospital Baner.
Pranjali has been extensively involved in community awareness and education drives. She has several international publications, is actively involved in clinical research and teaching activities.
With I-SHARE, Pranjali hopes to improve access to breast diagnostics and breast cancer treatments, promote research in areas of significant knowledge gaps in context of the Indian population, and scale up her efforts to promote breast cancer awareness.
Dr Nikhil Phadke
Founder-Director
Nikhil is the founder of GenePath Dx (Causeway Healthcare Private Limited), a molecular diagnostics organization in Pune, India. Nikhil has over fifteen years of experience in the fields of Molecular Biology, Genomics, Proteomics, Bioinformatics and Molecular Diagnostics. He was previously a core team member at HandyLab Inc, a highly successful microfluidics based molecular diagnostics startup in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, that was subsequently acquired by Becton Dickinson (BD). He founded GenePath Dx with a view to bringing state-of-the-art in vitro diagnostic tools to the Indian medical community. He has several publications in international peer-reviewed journals and also has a number of granted US patents and submitted patent applications. In addition to his full-time role as Chief Scientific Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer at GenePath Dx, he also oversees day to day administration at Phadke Hospital, a family owned woman and child-care specialty hospital that has been in operation since 1945.
Dr Meetali Bidaye
Founder-Director
Dr Meetali (Kolhatkar)Bidaye is a Consultant Nephrologist working in Pune. She did her MBBS degree from Bharti Vidyapeeth University, Pune. She completed her MRCP from Truro, Cornwall, United Kingdom followed by MRCP Nephrology from Glasgow , United Kingdom. She moved back to India in 2013 when she joined KEM Hospital, Pune as a Consultant Nephrologist where she continues to work. She is also a Panel Consultant at Poona Hospital.
Having trained in the medical system where financial means of the patient was not a consideration for treatment, she hopes that through I-SHARE she will be able to help bridge the gap between limited resources and treatment to improve the approach to healthcare in the field of nephrology.
